‘In Between Minds’ the new EP from singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis is melodically memorable and lyrically relatable. It opens with ‘Hold On To Happiness’ where his velvet vocals dance upon soft guitar lines. The tracks smoothly follow each other, standing out on their own as well as a complete package. Rhys Lewis knows how to push emotional buttons with each beautifully crafted song.

The 5-track EP also includes recent singles ‘End Like This’, ‘Better Than Today’, alongside new tracks ‘Lonely in Love’ and closing track ‘Things You Can’t Change’. It reflects Rhys’s state of mind as well as the uncertainty of the times we live in. The songs are mini narratives about his personal relationships as well as how fleeting life is (“Life’s just a moment so know when it’s golden“) and also the broader theme of politics.

Rhys comments on his new EP release, “We’re living in a weird time where we’re all anxious. Everyone has their own thought and fears, but it’s probably the same thing unifying them,” he explains, “and even though that divides us it should unite us and bring us together.”

It is an extra special project as Rhys also turned his hand at producing alongside collaborators Aidan Glover, Brian Brundage, and Richard Wilkinson.

Embarking on a headline tour in May, Rhys will be performing at sold-out shows in Hamburg and London, (his show at Omeara sold out within a week.) He has toured extensively over the past couple of years opening for artists including Sigrid, Freya Ridings, JP Cooper, and James TW.

Rhys discusses self-reflection and how these songs have helped to understand his feelings of anxiety for the past year. “So writing songs has become a way for me to draw a line in the sand and be at peace with things whenever things get confused in my own head.”

So don’t “waste the untamed seconds of the day” and listen to this stunning EP as well as getting yourself to a Rhys Lewis show while you can.
