Dyl Cosmo’s Yucky is like that awkward moment when you’re green with envy, but also kind of digging the tune that’s making you feel that way.

It’s a laid-back groove with a 90s/00s R&B vibe that’ll have you nodding your head, even as Dyl Cosmo spills his guts about imposter syndrome and the nagging feeling that maybe he doesn’t deserve his position.

This isn’t your typical woe-is-me ballad, though Dyl Cosmo’s smooth vocals glide over the track, delivering lines like “Do you ever worry that maybe it wasn’t meant to be you?” with a playful self-deprecation that makes it all too easy to relate.

He’s not wallowing in self-pity; he’s having a conversation with himself (and us) about those universal insecurities we all try to hide.

The song’s chorus, “I’m not tryna act yucky, but do we really deserve it?” is both a cheeky wink and a genuine question.

It’s that moment when you catch yourself comparing your behind-the-scenes struggles to someone else’s highlight reel and wonder if the whole damn thing is just a cosmic joke.

Dyl Cosmo’s Yucky is a refreshing reminder that it’s okay to feel like a fraud sometimes.

It’s a song for anyone who’s ever doubted themselves, questioned their worthiness, or just felt a little bit, well, yucky about the whole thing.

But hey, at least we can groove to it while we’re figuring it all out, right?

    Dyl Cosmo Yucky Lyrics

Do you walk in the room in slow motion?
Do they all stop and stare?
Does your voice make them swoon like a potion?
Do they all wanna smell your hair?

    Uhh

Do you ever worry that maybe
It wasn’t meant to be you?
    Like maybe you accidentally
    Stepped through a
    Multiversal portal into
    Some universe where
    Fantasies come true

    I’m not tryna act yucky
But do we really deserve it?
    Did we maybe get lucky?
Or did we do the work to earn it?
    Am I going insane
    Telling my brain
That maybe it just ain’t worth it?
    Hey maybe it’s just me
I just feel a bit yucky

    Can you smell when
    Stars are aligning?
Does the noise feel like home?
    When everyone tells you
That they can’t live without you
    Does it make you ecstatic
    Or make you more alone?

    Is this what you do?
How can someone live like this?
    Can I rock like you?
Is it too much of a risk?
    Every word you say
    I feel further away
I hope I’ll see the day
That I can live this way

    I’m not tryna act yucky
But do we really deserve it?
    Did we maybe get lucky?
Or did we do the work to earn it?
    Am I going insane
    Telling my brain
That maybe it just ain’t worth it?
    Hey maybe it’s just me
I just feel a bit yucky

    I’m not tryna act yucky
But do we really deserve it?
    Oh
    Did we maybe get lucky?
Or did we do the work to earn it?
    Ohh
    Am I going insane
    Telling my brain
That maybe it just ain’t worth it?
    Hey maybe it’s just me
I just feel a bit yucky
