London's Rising R&B Star NXTHXN Delivers A Soulful Confession On Chose You

NXTHXN drops into UK’s R&B scene with Chose You, a slick slow jam that pulls you right into the passenger seat of his emotional joyride.

The London vocalist serves up a confession booth moment over sultry production that would make ’90s R&B heads nod in approval.

NXTHXN’s smooth vocals glide over atmospheric production while he spills about that impossible choice between two loves.

His storytelling unfolds like a real-time drama, complete with an incoming call from the other woman while he’s mid-conversation about coming clean.

No sugar coating here, just raw admissions about breaking someone’s world apart for the sake of following his truth.

What’s clever is how the production mirrors the story – starting deceptively simple before layers of harmonies and instrumentation build up, matching the growing tension of his confession.

Those Usher and Joe influences shine through in the vocal runs, but NXTHXN brings his own flavour to the mix.

Chose You is a slow-burning R&B track that turns a private moment of truth into something relatable, all while keeping that classic soul sound alive and kicking.

    NXTHXN Chose You Lyrics

    Verse 1
I’ve been running for too long
    And I can’t fight it
    Suffocating in between
    it’s so exhausting
    I can’t breathe I’m
    coming clean I,
Imma tell her everything and all the details
    I won’t leave anything out
And we gon witness all the memories that she built
    Come tumbling down

    Chorus
She gon be mad that I choose you
    I know it’s sad but it’s true
    Everyday I’m without you
It’s another day that I lose

    Verse 2
There’s no other way that I can think to tell you this
So let’s go take a ride I’ll tell you everything
The truth is I’ve been seeing someone else
As a matter of fact they’re calling me right now
    Let me call you back
I promise once I finish I will call you back
Yeah she’s sitting right beside me
    And I’m driving
    There’s no more hiding
I said I’m telling it all
