Introducing Sal The Musician who releases his contemplative debut single ‘Low’. Sal has an interesting story – he dropped out of university recently to pursue his dream of a career in music. He boarded a plane to Ireland without telling any of his family and friends and after four months of hard work and occasionally finding himself homeless, he released ‘Low.’ The single is hard-hitting in nature about depression and feeling suicidal and is ambiguous lyrically, “I think I’m gonna go…when I hit the next new low”. However, with the pop hook, and rock, and electronic elements it doesn’t feel…

The track which Youdan says is “as much about gaining perspective as it is about falling in love” tugs at our heartstrings with its sonic layers, raw vocals, bittersweet twang of the guitar and relatable lyrics, “You were something from the cover of a magazine He was looking like a star spangled figurine I was jealous that he knew the taste of your mouth We would flirt with a touch every now and then These days, the cool kids, yeah, they do it with…

Country artist Vic Allen returns with her catchy new song ‘Talk’. It’s a co-write with Kaity Rae, who also co-produced the track along with Lauren Deakin-Davies. ‘Talk’ adds a smooth twist to a jaunty song. Vic’s distinctive country style is peppered with pop flourishes. The premise is simple but Vic draws you in with her lyrics – we presume she wants to talk to an ex love who has most probably found someone else, “it’s been a while, guess you’ve moved on.” The need to talk is very relatable when you’ve got things on your mind and you can’t help…

The feeling when…

We first heard the enigmatic ‘Peach’ last summer and now the LA-based, Boston-born alt-rock band Slothrust is back with their long-awaited official music video. ‘Peach’ is from their fourth full-length album ‘The Pact’ which was produced and engineered by multi-Grammy award nominee Billy Bush (Garbage/The Naked & Famous/Neon Tree) and released last fall. We still can’t get enough of the track, but the visuals match it perfectly with a cartoon/real-life crossover which reminds me a bit of the 1959 Walt Disney animated musical fantasy film ‘Sleeping Beauty’ with some of its animal characters. Leah Wellbaum (vocals/ guitar) says, “I’ve had…
