BZZY, formerly known as Bizzy Crook professionally and Lazaro Camejo from birth, is a writer through and through. When he’s not writing lyrics to his dazzling array of music, he’s writing poetry or thinking about writing. Even children’s books which might at first sound rather unexpected for a twenty-something rapper from Miami. But more on that later. BZZY is incredibly inspirational to speak to. He has an immense passion for what he does and wants to do and works very hard. And you know it’s not just talking and he will end up completing all the things he sets out…

Singer, dancer, Pussycat Doll, TV persona and now shoe designer; Ashley Roberts is one busy lady, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. She has kindly taken the time to share with BritznBeatz about her new business venture, a gorgeous women’s footwear range called ALLYN (Ashley’s middle name). She has designed the Spring/Summer 2017 collection herself and they have been crafted from fine Italian leather. Driving in the car today I wasn’t inspired by any of the songs on multiple Radio stations which I had heard countless times last year and was in the need for something more motivating to fit my mood. I slipped in an old CD from the glove compartment and a song I hadn’t heard in years literally pumped from the sound system straight into my veins. I got hooked all over again. It was Wretch 32 and his single, ‘Don’t Go’ featuring Josh Kumra so later in the day I decided to do a little research into this talented British…
The alternative music genre was defined when Radiohead came on the scene (unbelievably) formed back in 1985. My first introduction to their music was when I was given a mixtape by the brother of a school friend in 1994. It was full of Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam, but the song that stuck out most for me was Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ which was the last song on the B-side. It fills you with all sorts of thoughts and feelings as do most of their songs; quite unlike music you’ve ever heard. Fast forward three years later to 1997 and…

One thing for sure, he is no stranger to award nominations and winning. As it stands he is on the leaderboard as one of the highest award-winning Ghanaian artists. It is also notable to mention he is the first Ghanian to win the BET awards in 2012 for the Best international act, he was nominated for the same category in 2014. Pianist, Tania Stavreva, is living her dream in the cosmopolitan, creative, beating pulse that is New York. She started to play the piano at four years old and gave her first solo recital a year later in her native country of Bulgaria. She comes from a musical family who encouraged her and had a very typical classical “intensive” training from the age of four, but was grateful for that as it gave her a “solid foundation.” Tania is very passionate about her craft and a typical day includes piano practice which she factors into her routine as she would do taking…
It is hard to believe this talented Hip-Hop artist from Brooklyn is only in his early twenties as his music sounds like the work of someone who has been in the world, let alone in the music industry, for much longer. You might remember CJ Fly from being part of Pro Era, a collective of American rappers, which formed in 2011. CJ Fly was a founding member and now he spreads his wings with his first commercial release, ‘FLYTRAP’ out now. Also hard to believe is the fact CJ Fly hardly wrote any of the 14 track album in advance but freestyled once he was in the…
What do you think of when you hear Afrobeats music? I think of sunshine, dancing, love and positivity. Sounds like a Disney film doesn’t it? But this can fit into your life wherever you are, whatever you’re doing. And don’t we all crave that good feeling in our lives? Someone who thrives on Afrobeats music and makes it pretty damn well is Silvastone, a producer, singer-songwriter, DJ, “an all round as busy as possible” artist. In fact, when we speak it is a Sunday night where I have spent most of the day comatose on the sofa whereas he has been in…

Quaglino’s is an iconic drinking, dining and dancing establishment that was founded in 1929 in London’s upmarket Mayfair. It still retains that Art Deco style which was so popular in that era, but of course with a slick, modern twist. Once you enter the famous glass doors and see the sweeping staircase you feel as if you’re in another world which is decadent, but not ostentatious. It is interesting to read about the history of Quaglino’s as Royalty, celebrities and many famous faces have graced it with their presence over the years. We were invited to Quaglino’s to experience music from…
