Give N Go is the fast jumping track from the up and coming ATL rapper, Tiien. The young rapper went ham on the laidback instrumentals. He spits rhythmic lyrics on the hook, giving it a catchy vibe. Although the tempo is similar to that of popular hip-hop tracks in the scene currently, Tiien’s timing on the beat captures the essence of the track and stands out. Give N Go is a fun track and a great introduction to the up and coming rapper. It will be interesting to see what this ATL rap artist has planned next.

Houdini Komplex’s A Lions Share is all about bars. Deft precision lyrics are like a machine gun with a scope hitting bullseye nonstop over an ominous beat and instrumentals. Houdini is playing chess with bars, definitely not checkers. I suspect choosing Houdini Komplex as a name is not by chance. Lyrically he is bound to bring Fila back. It’s entendre galore on A Lion’s Share. I can go into more detail about the track, but I believe it would be better to settle down and discover this UK rapper on his turf. So put whatever you’re doing down and listen…
JimiDaKilla welcomes you to his debut EP Cognac Arcade with This Ones For, an old school hip hop vibe tinged with humor. He wastes no time displaying his lyrical storytelling mastery on laidback soulful instrumentals reminiscent of the Snoop Dog & Dog pound era sound. It certainly piqued my interest, as I didn’t know what to expect from this young rapper from up North. Wasted In Barcelona is up next featuring Ot Lz, and Jimi is at it again, delivering a nice catchy hook on introspective instrumentals. If This Ones For is an introduction, Wasted In Barcelona is a statement…
Let it all go with Buddy Wright in the Here And Now. It’s one of those songs that is perfect for contemplation and Buddy’s songwriting shines through. His syrupy vocals over the acoustic guitar on Here And Now flow like milk and honey. Every single instrumental on the track conveys emotion and you are left captivated with melancholic qualities that glimmer with hope on Here And Now. The message of this song is about getting rid of all the distractions and focusing on what matters. I wrote this song about my ongoing struggle of finding a meaningful relationship in this modern…
http://youtube.com/watch?v=C0pg1fgFn54 Mike Ruby speaks volumes with Unapologetic the dope new track he recently released. The young Canadian caught his groove on this one, weaving vocals over the well-produced instrumentals. It was a show of the distinguishable mastery of his craft. Not bad for a jazz musician turned pop singer. Unapologetic is a song subtly imbued with different genres of music. It’s an upbeat pop song with part soulful/R&B vocals along with jazz sounds from the saxophone. The visuals are a reflection of the song lyrics about being super fly and getting an unprecedented amount of attention from people around you.…
Bounce to Jordan Frescher’s new track, it’s worth every second listening to it. Jordan’s flow comes across as fresh and energetic over the highly emotive instrumentals. And he effortlessly captivates you with sleek, boastful, and introspective lyricism. Frescher delivers catchy lines, and a dope hook that makes you want to party and have a great time. walk in Fresch, My niggas see me Yoo! we gone hit Sativa never sleepy -NO! Pull up with a foreign she no speakie -Oh nugget on my chest look like C3PO we gon party (til 4) Pour that drank up like you ain’t gotta…
Jesse Gold takes an L in relationship goals, but a unanimous win on the track. Jesse Gold has a knack of creating catchy and relatable songs and L is a prime example. Singing in soft delicate vocals, he narrates the break in his relationship goals over guitar acoustics and electronic instrumentals with nostalgic undertones. Although the lyrics are that of heartbreak, taking an L does not feel so bad, as it comes across as a fun song. L portrays the influence of both soul music and R&B. It’s difficult to categorize under either solely as it exhibits the best qualities…
We went down the Rabbit Hole with Jackson Breit recently, and he is now back with No Filter. And, once again, he delivers a stunning track that is engaging and relatable. With his usual R&B cadence, he melodically details his experience over the mellow beat with subtle vocals that add depth to the song. The chorus on No Filter is so warm, catchy, and memorable. There are times in a relationship you end up in an awkward situation because you refused to keep your silence. No Filter is a song where Jackson serenades on the subject. It comes across as…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rsyBRkXZIc Listening to Destined To Pretend by Beta Radio leaves you in a tangled web of mixed emotions. Soothing, sweet, nostalgic, and heartache are just a few words to describe the song. Ben Mabry and Brent Holloman, aka Beta Radio, have created a soulful and intoxicating folk sound. All my thoughts at once were tangled As my soul unspooled like a string Here all eternal moments wait Is it a myth that I create Can we find a way to mend Are we just destined to pretend The acoustic guitar and instrumentals, in particular the strings, are highly emotive and…
The vulnerability of Mr. Popular on Burn is contagious, as he reveals intimate details of a relationship. It’s a nostalgic song that sizzles with intense desire and longing to escape loneliness. The vocal intensity of Mr. Popular is palpable and contagious as he laments his story, yearning to be loved. And, you feel every bit of it. His vocals swim in unison with the instrumentals revealing the depths of his loneliness and vulnerability. Although the lyrics appear quite sad, it possesses a sweetness that makes you wallow in it. The catchy melody does add to it, but all the credit…
