It’s like we received our very own surfboard on this EP and recent single ‘Wildfire’, as you get to ride through the waves of Benedict Cork’s different emotions.

“I wrote Wildfire out in LA a few years back. I’d never been in love before, had no idea what it felt like, but felt super ready to find it. I’m feeling ready to move on and share my life with someone again” – Benedict Cork.

Okay, someone please pass me a tissue, and why hasn’t this incredible man been in love! I fell in love with his music the second I heard it and I’m sure you will too. Pianist, singer and songwriter, this man has got all the skills. (This sounds like I’m setting him up a dating profile, oops). His recent tracks are being acknowledged by the media all over the world, and so they should be. You know Elton John? Yep, that’s a silly question, but even the main man himself supports this fresh young talent. Elton streamed Benedict’s new track on his radio show and gave the singer his own little shout out. Incredible right? I’ll be unhappy if Benedict doesn’t have this printed out and stuck on his wall:

“This guy called Benedict Cork, he’s in his early 20s, he plays the piano and he sings, and this is live, and it’s just sensational! Benedict Cork- a name to look out for” – Elton John.

Elton isn’t the only ‘big name’ associated with this amazing talent. Here is an impressive list of artists:

Adam Lambert, MNEK (Beyonce/Madonna), Iain James (Emeli Sande/Anne Marie), Sandro Cavazza (Avicii/Lost Frequencies), Adam Argyle (Dua Lipa/Ella Eyre), in addition to supporting MØ and AlunaGeorge on tour across the UK.

Want to know what’s more impressive? Benedict Cork has worked with each one of these names, there’s no stopping him now.

‘Wildfire’, the fifth and final track from his debut EP ‘Piano Tapes’ has just been released and I wouldn’t be able to think of a better name myself. Benedict’s smooth, flawless voice is beautifully mixed in with his talented piano playing that gives you a combination of feelings and emotions all at once. ‘Wildfire’ touched my heart. Benedict mentioned his favourite lyric from the track. “I don’t know what it feels like, when a cold heart meets a wildfire”. More tissues, please! The song definitely has a Sam Smith vibe as Benedict has no problems hitting those high notes. ‘Wildfire’ definitely deserves its recognition at the moment. I adored another track on this EP…’Mama Said’. This man really knows how to pull at my heartstrings and Benedict has the voice and piano ability to draw you in.

If you want to ride the waves of feelings, be sure to check out Benedict Cork’s latest performances. You won’t forget his voice easily.
