April Diamond has become a modern artist who integrates multiple talents to build a dynamic, sustainable career.

As a Billboard-charting recording artist, social media influencer, & Vocal Coach. She has diversified her skills to remain in the game of the ever-evolving music industry.

April’s journey in the music industry has been years in the making, but every challenge and reinvention along the way has been worth it.

    Navigating a Changing Music Landscape

Managing her time between writing & recording with her team at Del Oro Music, collaborating with industry professionals, and leveling up as an artist in an ever-evolving industry has shifted April’s approach to her music and more.

April says: “I work with my team to create the best songs we can make with a message that gives me a story to tell.”

“I feel like songs are like poetic conversations that both inspire myself and others to join in the experience.

I know I’m not the only one who has experienced these events, but it’s my way of telling them.

It’s like we’re all in it together but from different places in our times.”

“Those shared experiences bring us all together through a song.  This is the part that means the most to me.  It is the connection.”

    Embracing Reinvention

Since April began releasing successful singles, the music industry has changed constantly, requiring her and her team to adapt to new ways of making and promoting music.

Streaming platforms, digital downloads, and making her music more accessible to her audience more accessible to her audience is still an ongoing shift.

At times, changing courses on so many things at once felt frustrating and exhausting — like time was slipping away with little progress.

“When you decide to stop what you worked on and start over, or change an approach repeatedly, it almost feels like you’re wasting time.

However, I have learned that stopping and starting over is a time of reinvention and leveling up.

Every time we felt we needed to stop and redo a song, make adjustments, start over, or try a new song, etc, we were right in doing so.”

    Learning to Trust the Process

It was those very moments of reinvention that led to significant milestones for April.

That included her first National Billboard Hit and two #1 National Radio Hits. Stepping back and re-evaluating a project is necessary.

April recalls one pivotal moment when she had spent months working on a song that was coming together well. Yet, that nagging feeling was telling her something wasn’t right.

“My thought process is always to ask myself why we are doing this and what the intention is for this song at that moment”.

“I think song selection is essential when releasing singles or an album or in a live performance.

People need to hear your depth and story in a way that is different from the last one”.

“It needs to be the right song for the right moment. I can’t fully describe why I feel the way I do. I go with it. I find a balance. I’ve learned to trust the process.  So far, it’s been correct.”

A Bold Pivot That Paid Off

After much contemplation, April finally shared her thoughts with her producer.

“I was concerned that when I said we needed to change songs, he would get upset because we spent so much time on the song we were currently working on.

I was relieved when he agreed and understood why I felt so strongly about it.  We agreed that it was the right thing to do.”

To her surprise, her team completely agreed!  Consequently, that pivot led to April‘s next National Radio Hit!

They pivoted to a different song they had been working on previously—Feel So Good—another upbeat, feel-good dance song that went on to become April’s second National Radio hit and climb to #1.

    Collaboration with Powerhouse Choir

Another defining moment came while working on I Got the Music in Me. After weeks of work, they realized changes were needed.

They adjusted the key, modified the vocal style, and then took it to the next level.

It featured her Producer, and now a Grammy Winner, David Longoria, on the trumpet.

Plus, a nationally recognized, award-winning high school show choir called “POWERHOUSE!”

The story behind adding the POWERHOUSE CHOIR is a real, authentic, and heartfelt story: April, being both a Recording Artist and a Voice Coach, was training many of the high school kids in this show choir.

When it came time to reinvent the song, April suggested to her producer that the show choir be part of the song as backup.

“I heard it in my head right away; I knew they would tremendously successfully record their parts with accuracy and style.

After all, they are the number one show choir in the country. They have been on Dancing with the Stars and the Oprah show.

They were on The Voice as a backup choir and did other notable performances.

During their competition season, they almost always take the number one spot in every competition nationwide.

So, I was not concerned that they could handle learning and recording the parts. I knew they would nail it… and they did!”

Behind the Scenes of a Chart-Topping Hit

“When I called Mr. Brendan Jennings, Director of the John Burroughs High School Show Choir Program, he was excited for his choir to have the opportunity!”

April’s team from Del Oro Music went to the school with all the recording equipment and set up in the drama room to record the individual parts of the Choir.

“It was amazing!”  April said.  “The parts that my producer had written for them were not easy.

They learned them in an hour and recorded it in another hour, all four parts!  This is a big deal!  To keep everyone on key and record it so seamlessly and quickly!  This is why they are #1!”

In addition, the high school actually agreed to let April shoot the video on the school’s campus in their performing arts theater with the choir.

It was a very successful video, which you can watch on April’s YouTube channel at AprilDiamondOfficial! You will also see the behind-the-scenes video showing the process.

The song transformed into something really special. It proves the point that sometimes, starting over leads to something even greater.

    Awards and Accolades

April Diamond’s “I GOT THE MUSIC IN ME” went on to hold the #1 spot for six weeks on three National New Music Radio Charts and won Song of the Year from the Independent Music Network!

The Song spent an incredible 24 weeks on national radio. Today, it remains a fan favorite, still playing on radio stations across the country.

    Balancing Career, Family, and Self

With each success, April and her team aim to push the bar even higher.   When April puts out new songs, each song/project needs to be at a new level of storytelling and musical drive.

In that process, life has a way of reminding us that sometimes, other priorities take center stage.

When business and family circumstances called for her attention, April knew she had to pause and focus on what mattered most.

“Sometimes, you must step away and spend some family time.” She says. “Life isn’t just about chasing your dreams, though it can take priority over everything else so easily —it’s about balancing everything important.”

“It’s Family, business, downtime, and reevaluating things.   You gain a better perspective when you take inventory of your life.”

Rising Above Doubt and Staying the Course

The pressures of balancing music, work, and personal responsibilities can feel overwhelming. The outside world often questions whether pursuing music is a practical choice.

April continued to have many irons in the fire this time, and she faced doubts that many artists encounter.

But instead of giving up, April took time to reflect, pray, and ask herself what was next.

“I don’t quit.  I pray and ask myself, “What is the next step?  What are my options, and which is the best way to move forward? Then, as always, the answer revealed itself at just the right time”.

A New Chapter with “30 Days of April!”

After a brief hiatus, April returned with renewed energy, not just to work on her upcoming new album but also to stay connected with her audience and continue growing as an artist and influencer.

She understood that engaging with fans and staying present in the industry was just as important as making music.

Currently, April is starting her yearly streaming campaign, which she calls “30 Days of April!”

She holds daily online interviews, chats, travels to cool places, and releases at least one new song, video, performance, etc.

There is so much to watch and be a part of with her followers that she calls #myfollowerfamily! “When you follow me and engage with my content, you are now part of the April Diamond Family!”

April Diamond’s journey is a testament to perseverance, faith, and the courage to trust your instincts.

Through reinvention, resilience, and passion, she continues to create music, Influencer Content, and causes that inspire and uplift—and she’s just getting started!
