With Belong To The Wind, Edgar Homeros has crafted an irresistibly nostalgic anthem that pays tribute to his beloved Stockholm.

This multilingual gem shines with heartfelt lyricism and a captivating musical arrangement that will leave you longing for the warmth of the familiar.

Right from the opening notes, Homeros’ expressive vocals draw you in, his emotive delivery radiating a palpable sense of nostalgia and affection for his hometown.

The track is far from a melancholic lament, despite the sparse piano intro’s introspective tone.

As the instrumentation gradually builds, layering in lush textures and dynamic flourishes, Belong To The Wind blossoms into a mid-tempo, feel-good groove that’s impossible not to vibe with.

What truly elevates this offering is Homeros’ deft storytelling prowess.

His poetic lyrics paint vivid pictures of Stockholm’s iconic landmarks and cultural fabric, infusing each line with a sense of pride and longing.

Yet, beneath the surface, there’s a universal resonance—an exploration of identity, belonging, and the human experience that transcends geographic boundaries.

The production is a masterclass in artful restraint and purposeful buildup.

From the understated piano intro to the soaring brass arrangements (born from Homeros’ own hummed voice memos), each element is meticulously crafted to take the listener on an emotional journey.

The result is a rich, multi-dimensional soundscape that seamlessly fuses raw authenticity with polished sophistication.

In the end, Belong To The Wind is a celebration of the profound bond we forge with the places that shape us.

Whether it’s the bustling streets of a beloved city or the quiet familiarity of a childhood neighbourhood, Homeros’ words and melodies tap into that universal longing to find our place in the world.

With this single, he invites listeners to embrace their own cherished memories and revel in the comforting embrace of a song that feels like coming home.

It’s a love letter to the old streets and familiar landmarks.

Edgar describes his new release: “Belong To The Wind” started as a love song, but after laying down the chorus, I started thinking about the heights of Söder, the view from Fåfängan. I felt the song was nostalgic, and what was nostalgic for me at that moment was Stockholm from my childhood. So it became a love song to the old Stockholm. A bit like what Kanye West did for Chicago on “Homecoming” – but in my own way, and towards Stockholm.”

As the final single before his highly anticipated EP Crying Dove, Belong To The Wind sets the stage for what promises to be a captivating exploration of emotion and storytelling.

Edgar Homeros Belong To The Wind Lyrics

As the final single before his highly anticipated EP Crying Dove, Belong To The Wind sets the stage for what promises to be a captivating exploration of emotion and storytelling.

You got love in your eyes
    And a whole paradise
And I just wanna bask in your light
And the way that you cry
    Got me so mesmerized
When you say that you don’t wanna die

Well I got a big feeling that it’s a big season and i’m finally gonna bring home the win
Gonna make you proud of me and of this city it’s hometown glory again

Holding your hand, safely in mine
Can’t it be forever this way?
    She said
Baby tell me why you’ve been gone?
Maybe you belong to the wind

From the hill that were on I can see all the stars and the city that dwells underneath
All the dreams and the stories inside of four walls mina drömmars stad det är vi

Well I got a sick feeling i’ve been through the beatings but
I got up again and again
Precis som Kenta sjöng så kände jag just idag är jag stark igen

Holding your hand, safely in mine
Can’t it be forever this way?
    She said
Baby tell me why you’ve been gone?
Maybe you belong to the wind
