The Rap Titan Explores Temptation Over Yachty’s Beats

Drake’s single What Would Pluto Do, from his album “For All The Dogs,” released on October 6, 2023, has been causing waves online since its debut.

The chorus, where Drake bluntly asks, “What would Pluto do? He’d f*ck the ho, so I did it,” over Lil Yachty’s energetic production, became an instant hit on TikTok and Twitter.

    Unapologetic Lyrical Content

While the hook is undeniably infectious, the lyrics place Drake in contentious territory, seemingly endorsing infidelity.

In the verses, he unabashedly boasts about his wealth and promiscuity, pondering whether to engage with an associate’s girlfriend.

Lines like “Baby girl, Adonis need a sister, okay” and “I wanna tear your box out like a coach” are provocative and likely to stir controversy.

    Lil Yachty’s Distinctive Influence

Lil Yachty, a longtime ally and collaborator, dominates the production on What Would Pluto Do with Bangs, BNYX®, and GENT! bring a unique flavour to the track.

His characteristic melodic style and breezy adlibs are evident, offering a playful contrast to Drake’s explicit raps about sex and betrayal.

    Moral Ambiguity Explored

The song’s central question—what would Pluto (Future) do in this scenario?—is left open to interpretation.

On one side, the track shows Drake succumbing to his base impulses, hinting that Pluto would act similarly.

On the other, it presents a moral quandary, with Pluto’s hypothetical actions serving as a warning against following such impulses.

A Viral Sensation with Controversial Undertones

With its catchy hook and raw portrayal of relationship dynamics, What Would Pluto Do is set to be Drake’s latest chart-topper.

However, its explicit content and divisive subject matter may also make it one of his most contentious singles to date.
