Ebubé’s Lay With Me doesn’t race toward a climax—it lounges, slow-burning in its own mood like the scent of incense at dusk.

Anchored by dusky synth chords and featherlight percussion, this mid-tempo slow jam wears its vulnerability on its sleeve.

“Baby, please, just leave all your load / At the door, let’s just be,” he pleads—his falsetto not just a vocal choice, but an emotional posture.

Self-produced and never in a hurry to impress, the track feels like a voice memo you weren’t supposed to hear—intimate, low-lit, and unfiltered.

“I know that you are the prize / Every single time you slide,” he murmurs, not with bravado but a quiet kind of reverence.

There’s a retro honesty to the way he opens up, but the production sidesteps pastiche.

You can hear the gospel roots in the chord progressions and the classical training in the structure, but it all comes through with a casual cool that fits firmly in the now—lush, languid, and sure of itself without needing to shout.

This is R&B that actually wants to feel something. Not perform it.

    Verse 1
    Candles lit, roses picked
Read my lips, I’m gonna lay you down, lay you down (Yeah)
