June 24, 2024 – Fans of Empire of the Sun have a lot to celebrate as the electro-pop duo announced a series of North American headline shows for the first time since their 2019 Walking On A Dream 10th Anniversary tour.

The dynamic duo, known for their mesmerising live performances and anthemic hits, will take the stage at Guadalajara’s Auditorio Telmex on November 19, the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on November 23 (with NEIL FRANCES opening), and Brooklyn’s King’s Theatre on November 26.

Eager fans can get their hands on tickets through an artist pre-sale starting Wednesday, June 26, at 10:00 AM local time by pre-registering at Laylo.

Tickets for the general public will be available on Friday, June 28, at 10:00 AM local time.

Adding to the excitement, Empire of the Sun is set to perform at Corona Capital 2024 in Mexico City on November 17, just before kicking off their headline shows.

The tour announcement comes hand in hand with news of their first new album in eight years, Ask That God, slated for release on July 26 through Capitol Records.

This marks a significant return for Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, who have been the creative forces behind Empire of the Sun since their debut album, Walking On A Dream, in 2008.

Their previous albums, Ice On The Dune (2013) and Two Vines (2016), have helped cement their reputation as pioneers in the electro-pop genre.

The forthcoming album Ask That God is now available for pre-order and promises to be a sonic journey with tracks like Cherry Blossom, which reflects on the beauty and wonder around us, “Music On The Radio,” and “Changes.”

Critics are already buzzing about the new music, with Consequence of Sound calling “Music On The Radio” a “bass-heavy psychedelic jam,” and Popdust praising it as “light, catchy, and refreshing.”

Billboard noted “Changes” for its classic Empire of the Sun feel, featuring a danceable beat and joyful synths.
