UK’s Hottest Rising Talent Tom Walker Releases New Music Video

If you like the sound of Paolo Nutini vs Shawn Mendes mixed in with a bit of Jack Garratt and topped off with the folky tone of Maverick Sabre, then Tom Walker is the perfect artist for you. His husky voice is both edgy and folky which really gives his music a unique sound. Coupled with this, he mixes simple guitar chords and piano with elements of synthetic pop that adds a toe-tapping dimension to all of his music.

This amazingly talented artist has already smashed Spotify by amassing 28,559,773 streams on his single, ‘Just You and I’ that was released earlier this year with Relentless Records and his latest single ‘Leave a Light On’ is set to follow suit with 696, 380 streams already, despite only being realised on the 13th October!

‘Leave a Light On’ is a showcase of Walker’s masterful songwriting skills and vocal variation that both move and excite you. More somber than his other EP tracks such as ‘Heartland’ and ‘Blessed’, his latest single begins softly with a single piano and builds into a powerful chorus that deals with the hard-hitting issue of drugs and getting stuck in a dark place. His passionate performance coupled with the music video’s metaphorical visuals creates a dynamic piece of artistry. Co-written and produced by Steve Mac who has also worked on ‘Shape of You’ by Ed Sheeran and Anne Marie’s major hit ‘Alarm’, ‘Leave a Light On’ is set to be another hit.

Tom Walker has already enjoyed success. He is currently on tour around the US with The Script and sitting pretty on Radio 1’s ‘Brit List’ alongside J Hus, Stefflon Don, Anne-Marie, and Sampha – this Manchester raised artist is doing us Brits proud. His evocative song ‘Just You and I’ peaked at number 22 on the Hot AC chart and he’s set to gain even more overseas fans before returning for his biggest UK tour to date which commences next month. With some dates already sold out, I would recommend grabbing tickets before it’s too late.
