When Does Yellowjackets Season 3 Come Out?

Mark your calendars: Yellowjackets Season 3 premieres with a double-episode special on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, on Paramount+ with Showtime.

For those who prefer traditional broadcasting, the show will air on Showtime’s linear channel starting Sunday, February 16 at 8 p.m. ET.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Plot: What Happens Next?

The new season begins with the aftermath of the Season 2 finale, which saw the team’s cabin burned to the ground.

In the past timeline, the survivors face unimaginable challenges as they try to endure their time in the wilderness.

While they’ve survived a brutal winter, their victory is fragile—growing distrust and leadership tensions threaten their unity and chances of rescue.

Meanwhile, in the present day, Shauna, Taissa, Misty, Van, and Lottie must navigate the emotional and practical fallout of their shared past.

A mysterious package bearing wilderness symbols arrives for Shauna, forcing the group to confront secrets they thought were long buried.

“The only way to be safe is to be the only one left,” Melanie Lynskey’s Shauna ominously declares in the trailer, setting a dark tone for what’s to come.

Who is in the Yellowjackets Season 3 Cast?

Season 3 boasts an exceptional returning cast, including Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sophie Nélisse.

New additions include Academy Award winner Hilary Swank and Community favourite Joel McHale, whose roles remain shrouded in mystery.

Speculation suggests that Swank’s character could become a series regular in a potential Season 4.

How Did Yellowjackets Season 2 End?

Season 2 ended with explosive events, most notably the death of adult Natalie.

Showrunner Ashley Lyle hinted that this tragedy will have far-reaching emotional consequences, particularly for Misty.

“Natalie’s death impacts Misty emotionally the most, but the reverberations are felt by all of them,” Lyle shared.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Trailer Breakdown: All the New Details

The trailer teases a darker, more brutal chapter for the Yellowjackets.

Scenes of bloodied knives, screaming faces, and intense violence underscore the mounting tension.

In the wilderness timeline, alliances crumble, and survival grows increasingly savage.

Meanwhile, the adult survivors grapple with fresh conspiracies threatening their carefully reconstructed lives.

As showrunner Ashley Lyle explains, “The consequences of what they went through didn’t end in the past.”

Who Are the Yellowjackets Season 3 Showrunners?

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets continues to weave its compelling narrative across two interconnected timelines.

The creators have emphasised their commitment to delivering a planned-out story with definitive arcs, though they haven’t ruled out future expansions of the series.

    Why Yellowjackets Season 3 Is a Must-Watch

With its signature mix of psychological horror, survival drama, and coming-of-age storytelling, Yellowjackets Season 3 promises to push its characters to their limits.

The stakes have never been higher, and the addition of acclaimed new cast members only adds to the anticipation.

When it premieres this February, the show looks ready to deliver its most intense and emotionally charged season yet.
